About the project
The goal of this research effort is to develop enhanced methods to extract biofuels from switchgrass.
The bioenergy science team is led by Dr. Raymond Huhnke, Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, Okla.; and Dr. Lance Lobban, University of Oklahoma (OU) in Norman, Okla. Additional research is performed at the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation (SRNF) in Ardmore, Okla.
An Executive Committee (EC) is responsible for promoting research collaborations among the researchers at the three institutions, facilitating exchanges of resources, mentoring young faculty members, developing new initiatives, planning for major grant proposals and bringing external experts to the state. In addition to Huhnke and Lobban, the Bioenergy Research EC includes Dr. Yanqi Wu (OSU), Dr. Joe Zhou (OU) and Dr. Kiran Mysore (SRNF).
The External Advisory Board (EAB) consists of four discipline-specific experts. The EAB conducts a technical and scientific review at least once a year, making recommendations on project aims. In addition to their oversight responsibility, EAB members also serve as an important resource for scientific, technical and management support.
